Taiwanese smartphone making giant Asus is all set to launch its second smartphone with an 18:9 display dubbed ZenFone Max Plus(M1). The phone can be seen listed on the company’s Russia website hinting that it may be nearing its launch. The ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is the second Asus phone to come with 18:9 display, Pegasus 4S being the first one.While the availability and price of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) still remains a mystery, the company has shed some light on the specs of the phone like it sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with ZenUI 4.0 skin on top. It is expected to be a mid-range smartphone. There are two storage variants of the smartphone- 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6750T processor.The ZenFone Max Plus (M1) sport a metal body design with a fingerprint located at the back of the phone. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The phone will be available colours- Deepsea Black, Sunlight Gold and Azure Silver. The second major highlight is the dual camera set up. New ZenFone Max Plus(M1) comes with a dual camera set up at the back- 16MP+8MP. There’s an 8MP camera on the front.The phone is backed by a massive battery size of 4130mAh battery. Asus claims that the battery can power the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) for up to 26 days on 4G standby, offer up to 26hrs of 3G talktime, up to 13 hrs of video playback and 21hrs of WiFi web browsing. The Max Plus (M1) has been launched in Russia and the roll out in other countries can be expected soon.
