Bill Nye faints during speech at the University of Southern California

first_imgTelevision’s science and green energy guy, Bill Nye, recently gave a speech at the University of Southern California this past Tuesday when Nye fainted during the address in front of hundreds of onlookers.Strangely enough, ten seconds later, Nye got back up off the stage floor and continued his talk by casually asking the audience how long he had been out. What is even more curious is that Nye mentions during the rest of his speech that a similar thing happened to him earlier in the day. Although paramedics were called to the scene, it is not known if the 54 year-old Nye was treated. Also there is no word from Nye’s assistant as to the cause of the fainting spells.Let’s just hope Bill puts the breaks on his speaking engagements for a while until they figure out what is wrong. Although Bill gets an “A” for perseverance, I think fainting on stage is usually a big sign that you should go to a hospital.AdChoices广告Read more at The Monitor, via Geekologielast_img read more
