Former Indonesian Military chief Djoko Santoso dies at 67

first_imgFormer Indonesian Military (TNI) commander Gen. (Ret.) Djoko Santoso died at the age of 67 on Sunday morning at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD).Gerindra Party politician Habiburokhman confirmed the death of his fellow party politician on Sunday.“He died this morning, a few days after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage,” Habiburokhman said as quoted by kompas.com. Djoko had been hospitalized since May 2 and underwent surgery for a cerebral hemorrhage the day after.  Born in Surakarta, Central Java on Sept. 8, 1952, Djoko was known as a prominent military figure. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1975 and held various high-ranking positions in the army, including chief of the Pattimura Military Command in Maluku from 2002 to 2003 and chief of the Jayakarta Military Command in Jakarta in 2003.He served as army chief of staff from 2005 to 2007, before being appointed as TNI commander by then-president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in 2007, a position he held until his retirement in 2010.In 2015, he joined the Gerindra Party and was appointed deputy of the party’s steering committee. During the 2019 presidential election, Djoko Santoso chaired the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno campaign team.He is survived by his wife Angky Retno Yudianto and three children. Betsson completes £26 million acquisition of NetPlay TV

first_img TVBET passes GLI test for five live games in Malta and Italy August 25, 2020 Share Ulrik Bengtsson,Stockholm-listed Betsson AB has confirmed that it has completed its £26 million acquisition of UK interactive gaming operator NetPlay TV (deal first announced on 2 February).Updating the market, Betsson governance informed that its offer had passed all conditions of the UK High Court of Justice, allowing for the firm to complete its transaction.Prior to High Court approval, Betsson acquisition offer had been approved by NetPlay’s governance board and investors.Completing its £26 million acquisition, Betsson will strengthen its UK presence by taking control of NetPlay assets, adding Jackpot247, Supercasino and Vernons to its European gaming multi-brand portfolio.Betsson governance informed that the company would undertake a number of changes to Netplay operations and management.The currently outsourced NetPlay TV customer service and payment operations will be centralised in Malta with crucial CRM and VIP functions moved closer to the rest of the Betsson business.Furthermore, Betsson and NetPlay office locations in the UK will be consolidated. The three brands operate on a third-party system and is planned to be migrated to Techsson platform in 2019, when current agreements run out.Ulrik Bengtsson, CEO and President of Betsson AB commented on the deal closure;“With the addition of NetPlay and the continued organic growth, UK is on its way to become one of Betsson’s most important markets.
