The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, Jensen said. WHITTIER – A drunken driver was probably feeling hungover Thursday after crashing his Mercedes into a parked car and the garage of a home in an unincorporated area near Whittier, authorities said. The collision occurred at 2:10 a.m. in the 14200 block of Lanning Avenue, said Sgt. Douglas Jensen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Norwalk Station. The Mercedes hit a car parked on the street before crashing into the garage of a home, he said, adding that no one, including the driver, was hurt in the incident. A witness at the scene said that the car, a brand-new Mercedes with paper plates, struck a Nissan on the street before crashing into the garage. 165Let’s talk business.Catch up on the business news closest to you with our daily newsletter.
